Dr. Kaihula Bishagazi

Dr. Kaihula Bishagazi is a lecturer at the Saint Augustine University of Tanzania in the faculty of Business Administration. She is one of the main experts in the Pilot 4 Research and Dialogue project and leads the project’s first study “Tanzania Macroeconomic and Fiscal reforms: Positive Developments”. In this interview, she talks about the objectives of the study, highlighting some of its findings and challenges, and the importance of research and dialogue.

Prof. William Pallangyo

Prof. William Pallangyo is a Senior Lecturer and Management Consultant at The Law School of Tanzania and serves as an expert in the Pilot for Research and Dialogue project. In this interview, he talks about the share and role of the informal sector in the Tanzanian economy and the current situation with the restrictions linked to COVID-19. He also talks about the importance of research and dialogue in the current context and gives his recommendations for the Pilot 4 Research and Dialogue project.

Dr. Donath Olomi

Dr. Donath Olomi is the director of IMED, which is one of the project’s partners. In this video, Dr. Olomi presents IMED’s role in the project, as well as his views on the importance of research and dialogue around economic and fiscal policies in Tanzania.

Mr. Ali Mjella

Mr. Ali Mjella is the Deputy Manager for COWI Tanzania, BEST-Dialogue Programme. He is a lead expert for the Pilot 4 Research and Dialogue project. Prof. Élise Féron

Prof. Élise Féron is a Docent and a senior research fellow at the Tampere Peace Research Institute (Finland). She is the project lead for the Pilot 4 Research and Dialogue project.
